Product description

The On Balance SBM-100 is a compact digital scale with a 100g capacity and 0.01g readability, for when a rough guess won’t do. It has a small 56 x 53mm platform, a backlit LCD display, tare function and a choice of grams, ounces, troy ounces, pennyweights, carats and grains.

Its collapsible Rasta silicone bowl opens out to 130 x 97 x 58mm, giving you somewhere to hold bits while weighing, then folding down with the scale. The unit itself measures 93 x 62 x 21mm, so it’s properly pocket-sized rather than taking over the drawer.

Two AAA batteries are included. There’s overload protection, a calibration facility and a 10-year limited warranty from On Balance. A useful little scale for accurate small weights, with less loose-item faffing about than a bare platform.

This is a proper little pocket scale, not one of those things that eats half the table. The folding silicone bowl is the useful bit: open it when you’re weighing loose bits, collapse it when you’re done. It reads to 0.01g and runs up to 100g, while the backlit screen saves you squinting in a badly lit room.
