Headchef HC004 Digital Scale

Product description

The Headchef HC004 is a compact digital scale for small, precise weighing jobs. It reads up to 100g in 0.01g increments, so it is properly fine-grained rather than a rough guess-and-hope job.

The stainless steel weighing platform measures 60mm x 55mm, with a blue backlit LCD that is easier to read than an unlit screen. There are three buttons, plus tare and calibration functions, auto-off and overload protection. The removable lid doubles as a tray, which is a useful bit of design rather than packaging destined for the bin.

It measures 110mm x 72mm x 20mm, so it is small enough to keep in a drawer or stash box. Two AAA batteries are included, meaning it is ready to use straight away.

A decent little pocket scale for anyone fed up with trying to read a vague dial. The 0.01g readout is the useful part here, and the blue backlit screen saves you squinting at it. I also like that the lid comes off and works as a tray. It is only 110mm long, so it will not take over your drawer.
