Product description
The Burnt Jali Incense Box is a carved wooden burner for stick incense, with a burnt antique-style finish and pierced jali pattern across the lid. It measures 303mm long, so it gives standard incense sticks a proper place to sit rather than balancing them on a saucer.
There’s a hidden compartment underneath for keeping spare sticks together, and a built-in brass holder. It is also suitable for cone incense, giving you the choice of either without needing another burner on the shelf. Light the incense, place it in the holder and let the smoke drift out through the cut-out holes.
Hand carved in India, this is a straightforward incense box for regular home burning, with the useful bonus of somewhere to keep a few spare sticks.
Paul says
A proper old-school incense box, this. The burnt finish and jali cut-outs give it more character than a plain wooden tray, while the 303mm length is useful for keeping sticks contained. I also like the hidden compartment for spare incense. It saves you rooting through a drawer when you’ve got one stick left and no idea where the packet went.
