Large Carved Wooden Flower Lock Boxes

Product description

A carved wooden box for the bits you’d rather not have rolling around loose: jewellery, tobacco pouches, small keepsakes and other personal odds and ends.

The outside measures 180mm x 130mm x 67mm, with an internal space of 150mm x 100mm x 51mm. It has floral carving around the box and a large design on the lid. Choose from Flower, Star & Moon, Om, Leaf or Yin Yang designs.

The opening is the clever part. A wooden bar on the front slides across to release the catch, worked into the carving so it isn’t obvious at first glance. These are handmade wooden boxes, so small differences in colour and carving are part of the deal. A useful little stash box that looks at home on a shelf rather than shoved in a drawer.

The sliding wooden bar is the bit people usually miss. It sits in the front carving and releases the catch when moved across, so it’s not a box that simply flips open. There’s enough room inside for a tobacco pouch or a small collection of personal bits, and the carved designs give it more presence than a plain wooden box.
