Product description
The Prana Incense Box is a wooden incense burner made for both stick and cone incense. It measures 302mm long, with a carved teardrop pattern in the lid so smoke can drift out while it is in use. Metal stud and cog details give it a deliberately rustic look rather than a plain wooden box.
Inside, there is a place for a cone and an angled hole at the side for a stick. Lift the tray and there is a hidden compartment underneath for spare incense sticks, which is a useful touch if you like keeping a few scents together instead of hunting through drawers.
Handmade in India, this is a tidy way to burn incense while keeping the ash and spare sticks in one place. Stand it on a suitable heat-resistant surface and do not leave burning incense unattended.
Paul says
This is the sort of incense box that earns its shelf space. The teardrop cut-outs let the smoke out, while the tray hides a compartment for spare sticks underneath. I also like the slightly old-school metal studs and cogs. It is not trying to look pristine, which suits a wooden incense burner far better.
