Product description

A large Ganesh batik featuring Ganesh on a carriage drawn by mice. It is hand-printed over a stone-washed background, giving the artwork a properly lived-in look rather than a flat, shiny print.

At approximately 100cm by 130cm, this is a substantial piece for a wall, behind a sofa, over a bed, or wherever you want the room to look less bare. The mice-and-carriage scene gives it plenty to look at, and the scale means it will not disappear into the background.

A good pick if you like traditional Indian-style wall art with a bit more going on than a straightforward Ganesh portrait. Allow for the approximate sizing when choosing your spot.

This is one of the larger batiks, so it needs a proper bit of wall rather than a narrow gap by the door. The Ganesh carriage drawn by mice is a good scene, a little unusual and far more interesting than a plain central portrait. The stone-washed background stops it looking too crisp and showroom-like, which is probably for the best.
