These are proper harems, not regular trousers with a vague bohemian excuse. The orange patchwork is loud enough to do the talking, and the side pockets stop them looking like pyjamas. I’d go for the size you normally feel comfortable in rather than trying to make a loose harem cut behave like fitted jeans. They are meant to be relaxed, thankfully.
